We took some time to catch up with XLR8’s CEO and Founder, José Pedro Almeida, to ask what industry trends he is seeing during the COVID pandemic.
How are you helping the hospitality industry innovate?
Our AI platform helps hoteliers saving time and improving revenue results efficiently. XLR8 revenue management system goes beyond price recommendation, assisting hotel managers to spot trends, opportunities and alerts for future dates in order to help implement a strategy efficiently, controlling their main KPIs and monitoring return of actions in place.
What do you see as the biggest trend in hospitality tech in the post-COVID era?
I’d say there are two big trends - instead of just one – that have arisen in different phases. Firstly, hospitality companies identified contactless solutions as an urgent need to adapt their product to this new era, especially from a customer centric perspective. As companies started to prepare their reopenings, management teams gained a deeper understanding of challenges originated by COVID and its impact on internal structures. Secondly, we realized many hoteliers initiated self reevaluation processes to identify opportunities to innovate and gain efficiency, especially through technology solutions that may support teams on automating processes and assisting managers on their decisions.
How has Hapi helped XLR8RM Revenue Management and your customers?
If I were to choose only one benefit, it would certainly be “quickness”. When hoteliers start a partnership with XLR8 or any other tech partner, their expectation is to start using the product immediately, but initiating an integration process between RMS, PMS, Channel Managers and others is often lagging. Hapi helped us ensure we can overcome these complex processes, helping deliver our solution to hotels much faster, worldwide.
